PEACH

This is Peach. She showed up at my shop as a very young cat in 2008. Peach was terrified and would hide in a corner and cry, only coming out to eat. I couldn't touch her. One day, I needed to go to the shop for some tools I had to work on a project at home. As we pulled up to the shop, I saw Peach and told Pat, "There is the cat I have been telling you about". Pat got out of the car, squatted down, and said, "Who are you?" and Peach came running to her. That broke the ice.

After that, I was able to handle her and get her to our vet for her shots and spay. Our vet called and said she was ready to be picked up, so I went and got her at lunch and took her to our house to recuperate and try to find her a permanent home. I came home that evening expecting to have to dismantle the spare bedroom I left her in to find her sprawled out on the bed, basking in the sun, looking at me with an "I have arrived" look on her face. She has ruled our lives ever since.
