Biscotti “Scotti”

Meet Biscotti, Scotti for short. This little 6lb. girl has a megacolon and is on medication and a special diet. Her owners are both in the military and unexpectedly got deployed simultaneously. Imagine having to quickly find a place to care for a special needs animal on top of all the other things deployment involves (and, in their case, finding temporary homes for five dogs!)

We are honored to host this military member while our new friends deploy. Special needs are our thing, and Scotti is acclimating quickly; maybe I can put a blue star (or cat) in our window.

There are foster groups that support military members during deployment, but most don't offer help for special needs animals.

It’s nice to have Scotti as a member of our cat menagerie for as long as she is with us.
